Answers:What is HD?Benefit: Aspect RatioMost televisions today are manufactured in a 4 by 3 aspect ratio, which means the screen is 4 units wide by 3 units high. But theatrically released movies are usually in a much wider aspect, taking advantage of the human field of vision (which is wider across horizontally). HDTV signals are sent in a 16 by 9 aspect ratio, mimicking the wide scope of movies. HDTV's aspect ratio makes for a more immersive and intense viewing experience.Benefit: Picture ResolutionResolution is a measure of picture sharpness. Current analog television contains about 480 active scanning lines resulting in a picture resolution of about 330 lines of resolution. By comparison today's VHS VCR's have about 240 lines of resolution which is why VHS recordings don't look as sharp as the original picture. DVD's offer higher resolution typically on the order of 400-480 lines of resolution. (Note the number of scanning lines does not equal resolution. For example, both the VHS and DVD formats have 480 active scanning lines but have different resolutions.) HDTV offers resolution that is at least twice that of analog television. You can expect razor sharp images from HDTV. It is important to know, however, that although Blu-Ray is becoming more popular with the consumer market, there are still many incompatibility issues that need to be addressed before you can be assured that your Blu-ray wedding film will play in your Blu-ray player.What is raw footage? -Raw footage is the term used to describe the footage of film / video that has NOT been edited or color corrected. It is the footage right out of the camera. Most raw footage will not only include the moments of the day but also include the moments when a camera is being focused, moved, or used to setup audio. In many cases the audio will be unusable or non existent do to the configuration of a particular camera. Since these things go on throughout the day, it is likely that you will find the raw footage littered with un-watchable moments. Will I get my raw footage? -Much the way a painter uses paint, brushes and canvas to create a work of art out of a vision, we use raw footage, editing magic, color correcting and filters along with a heavy dose of audio sweetening and music to create your film. Raw footage by itself contains many moments that are simply not watchable. For an additional cost we can provide a lightly edited version of raw footage that has had these unwatchable moments removed. How do you decide what music to use? -Typically, we have a few of our favorite that just seem to work, and then our clients offer us many choices as well.What is the difference between a video and a film? -The term video has been used to describe just about any video that includes footage from a Wedding. Some of those videos are poorly produced with little value to the subject while other videos are very nice and will provide a wonderful documentation of the day. The term film refers to an end product that is created with the use of cinematic techniques that mimic the look and feel of a Hollywood style movie. films are truly a work of art and create an emotional experience for the viewer. Typically a Wedding film is far more entertaining than a basic video.Can I get more than one copy of my film? -Yes you can! You will typically receive 2 copies as part of your Special film and we frequently get asked to duplicate additional copies.
